Rumi Murakami, a San Francisco native and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, began her namesake label in 2013 with a collection of menswear-inspired womenswear deeply influenced by her Japanese heritage and her love for urban environments. Murakami will debut a small line of menswear along with her new spring collection of womenswear in her signature style that balances tradition with modernity. Some of her pieces will be available for purchase and pre-order after the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
Art + Flea with their participating 20+ vendors for this event will be stationed on Queen Lane and in the common area between Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. There will be live DJ sets by Secret Record Store, KTUH, and Scott Ohtoro as well as contests and prize giveaways from Bamp Project. Food vendors will include Gyozilla, Beyond Burgers, Bao Boys, Scratch, Holoholo Market, and a bar and lounge by Real A Gastropub.
