Workshop Description

prior ceramics experience is strongly recommended ages 14+ ac· cou· tre· ment | noun an accessory item of clothing or equipment —usually used in plural through a remix of additive and subtractive processes, ayaka takao will walk students through the creation of a pot with swag, covered in accoutrements. in this intensive ceramics workshop, we will work with clay in varying levels of wetness and dryness, slabs and sculpting, to create our final pieces. Days 1 + 2 are back to back, and day 3 is on the following weekend after the pots have dried and been fired. day 1, aug 31) build a base structure / vessel day 2, sept 1) cut and paste decorative elements day 3, sept 8) glaze pots

if for any reason you are unable to attend our workshop, we kindly request that you pass on the opportunity to a friend who may benefit from it. please note that we can only offer a 50% refund on a case-by-case basis, and only under extenuating circumstances. unfortunately, we cannot provide any refunds within 72 hours of the workshop start time. as an artist-led organization, we have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to carefully plan and prepare for this workshop, including purchasing materials. we ask that you please respect our hard work and commitment before making a purchase. thank you for your understanding. if a class is canceled due to low attendance or teacher emergency then you may receive a full refund or choose another available class to attend.
