Workshop Description
In this class, you’ll learn to decorate two matcha cupcakes with delicate anko (sweet bean paste) flowers. Anko, a traditional Japanese confection made from white beans, is commonly used in wagashi (Japanese sweets). Unlike buttercream, it won’t melt in your hands, giving you more time to practice, adjust, and even re-pipe your designs. 1 day workshop With Keiko Johnson All levels welcome Ages 18+ You’ll explore how to types of flowers while learning techniques to control thickness, texture, and vibrancy for realistic results. By the end, each student will decorate two matcha cupcakes with beautiful flowers crafted from anko. All materials provided.
