Workshop Description

2 day class led by ayaka takao open to levels, age 14+ Paint your world in blue and white with Ayaka as we create pinched bowls and decorate them with underglaze! Learn about the bowl, become the bowl, and become one with the bowl. You'll be feeling a different kind of blue by the end, a good kind of blue. all materials will be provided about ayaka takao: ayaka takao is an artist and educator based out of honolulu, hi (b 1996, kitakyushu, japan). takao recieved a bfa in fiber from the maryland institute college of art. they have shown and taught at formal + diy spaces in the kingdom of hawai’i and across the continental usa. they aim to bridge the gap between artists and the public through teaching and intuitive making. they are the organizer of multi, a curatorial project based out of honolulu founded in 2023.

if for any reason you are unable to attend our workshop, we kindly request that you pass on the opportunity to a friend who may benefit from it. please note that we can only offer a 50% refund on a case-by-case basis, and only under extenuating circumstances. unfortunately, we cannot provide any refunds within 72 hours of the workshop start time. as an artist-led organization, we have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to carefully plan and prepare for this workshop, including purchasing materials. we ask that you please respect our hard work and commitment before making a purchase. thank you for your understanding. if a class is canceled due to low attendance or teacher emergency then you may receive a full refund or choose another available class to attend.
