Workshop Description
six-week workshop led by allison arakawa open to all levels , ages 18+ Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. This course will cover the full process of wheel throwing from wedging, centering, pulling, shaping basic forms (cups and bowls) and recycling clay. A more detailed day by day syllabus will be provided on the first day of class. The course curriculum may change based on the instructor and overall skill level of the class. This course includes: - Restricted open studio hours : Thursday from 11am - 7pm and Sunday from 11am - 5pm - 1 bag of clay (students may buy additional bags of clay throughout the class) - All firings and glazes included, pots over 8 inches will be charged an additional fee ($1 for every inch over 8 inches) - Access to open studio tools - Shared dedicated shelf in studio - Personal storage area for the duration of the class (lockers will be assigned in priority of sign up) *Clay purchased outside of the studio is not allowed, students may purchase clay from the studio, we recommend soldate 60 or bmix There will not be any make-up sessions for missed classes.
