Workshop Description

8 week wheel throwing workshop led by allison arakawa open to all levels , ages 18+ Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. This course will cover the full process of wheel throwing from wedging, centering, pulling, shaping basic forms (cups and bowls) and recycling clay. A more detailed day by day syllabus will be provided on the first day of class. The course curriculum may change based on the overall skill level of the class. This course includes: -Restricted open studio hours : Tuesday and Thursdays ONLY from 11am - 7pm - "almost" unlimited use of recycled clay* (students will be expected to recycle their own clay) - All firings and glazes included, pots over 8 in will be charged an additional fee ($1 for every inch over 8 in) - Access to open studio tools - Shared dedicated shelf in studio - Personal storage locker for the duration of the class *Clay purchased outside of the studio is not allowed There will not be any make-up sessions for missed classes.

if for any reason you are unable to attend our workshop, we kindly request that you pass on the opportunity to a friend who may benefit from it. please note that we can only offer a 50% refund on a case-by-case basis, and only under extenuating circumstances. unfortunately, we cannot provide any refunds within 72 hours of the workshop start time. as an artist-led organization, we have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to carefully plan and prepare for this workshop, including purchasing materials. we ask that you please respect our hard work and commitment before making a purchase. thank you for your understanding. if a class is canceled due to low attendance or teacher emergency then you may receive a full refund or choose another available class to attend.
