This is a private wheel lesson for one person. It will cover the process of throwing on the wheel such as best studio practices (proper cleaning, safety and wheel ettiquette), centering and pulling*. Perfect for those who want to dip their toes into wheel throwing. This beginner friendly experience will leave you with keepsakes and memories that will last you a lifetime!
Before we get you started on the lessons there are a few things we want you to know before scheduling a lesson:
- we can offer start times between 11am - 3:30 pm (if you need an alternate time we will do our best to accomodate you)
This lesson is 1.5 hours. It will cover the basics of wheel throwing (centering, pulling and shaping)
Throw 1 - 3 objects (our staff will glaze your pots for you!)
Select your glaze colors (see photos for glazing options)
Basic hand tools for throwing will be provided (but we do encourage students to purchase tools of their own)
Please come with your nails trimmed and refrain from wearing any jewelry on your hands (rings, bracelets etc.)
And lastly please come with an open mind and get excited!!!

Finished pieces will be available for pick up 2 weeks after your final session.
*This lesson does not cover trimming or glazing. If you would like to experience the full ceramic process consider taking our 3 day wheel lesson or one of our 2 week handbuilding workshops.
