Workshop Description
4 day workshop + limited open studio access With Alan Lam Need to have taken Centering+Cylinders or have a firm foundation in centering and pulling a cylinder Ages 18+ (This is the second class in our throwing fundamentals series. If you are new to throwing please refer to “Centering+Cylinders” before signing up for this workshop.) Take the next step on the wheel! In this workshop you’ll learn how to: shape a cylinder into something more, trim your pieces, and basic glazing. Includes limited open studio time and firing fees (details will be discussed on the first day). What to Bring: •Clay: Use leftover clay from your Centering + Cylinders session or purchase a new bag at the studio. •Please bring an apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy! Note: •This is a skills-focused workshop. While you will fire a few select pieces, the emphasis is dedicated to practice and building a strong foundation. Prerequisite: This is the second workshop in series on throwing fundamentals. You should have completed our Centering + Cylinders workshop or have a firm knowledge of how to center and pull a cylinder.
